Great floor fan!!!
Great fan! It moves a lot of air even at lowest speed. Noise isn't too loud considering air flow, but since even lowest setting moves a significant amount of air, an air noise remains if using it in your home and trying to hear the TV at the same time. Buy it from Home Depot for $46 plus tax and free shipping if purchasing it online.

After a week, I purchased another one. Both work great after two months!

Fun and Flirty
I'm determined to bring back the handheld fan. They provide cooling comfort wherever I go. The first one I bought a few months ago is starting to show some wear; the adhesive from the "ribs" to the silk is coming away in spots, so I've purchased three more of them to keep one at home, office, car and in the purse. If you're going to buy just one, keep the little box it comes in handy to keep it lasting longer. These are lovely with delicate colors and patterns. They fit comfortably in the hand and expand and retract with ease, and they will last much longer than the paper versions--provided you don't just dump them into the bottom of your book bag. TPI Shutter Mounted Exhaust Fan Model - 20 inches CE-20-DS

TPI Corporation offers three types of direct drive exhaust fans. Each type comes in the same 8 fan sizes (see Customer Images for a table).

- a guard mounted fan includes a motor & propeller attached to a spiral wire blade guard with an electrical box, pull switch, and rubber mounting bumpers,

- a shutter mounted fan is a combination of two products: a guard mounted fan, and an external shutter.

- a venturi mounted fan is a guard mounted fan on a sheet metal frame, but no shutter. The outer frame edges are bent toward the inside at 90 degrees for strength. "Venturi" is a flaring of the sheet metal away from the fan, to direct the air flow. A venturi mounted fan costs about 25% more than a shutter mounted fan, and it doesn't even include a shutter. The only benefit is the venturi sheet-metal fan-frame.

Would've given 5 stars but....
I would have given 5 stars had the first one I received not have been defective, it wasn't damaged in shipment either. All the slats on one side were not positioned on the pins that support them to the sides, I needed this thing in a hurry so I debated prying open the ends of the slats that were supposed to wraped around the plastic pins but then I noticed it actually shipped from a local supplier. I had todrive 30 miles to exchange the bad one for a good one but they were willing to do it so I wen't that route instead.
The replacement was perfect and functions very well, it is a major improvement over the cheap plastic framed setup that originally came with my fan, so I would recomend the purchase as long as my defective one is an anomally and not an example of a more widespread quality issue.

Considering local companies wanted over $200 for this
it was a steal, company shipped the wrong one out, they opted to send me the new one next day and told me to keep the other one. Can't complain about saving money, This vendor is great in my book.

Real Cool
This fan work surprisingly well, but without any dangerous blades spinning around. Easy to hold and doesn't run down the battery too quickly.

Good for the price
This item is good for it's price, the changing LEDs are kind of anoying but you get used to them. Rund with AA batteries and good for when you are in small areas and need some air. Small enough to carry around, but too big for my wife's purse.

A Life Saver For Me
As a person who has breathing difficulties in almost any change of environment, this fan gives me the freedom to go to go places that I would not ordinarily be able to go. It keeps cool air circulating for me while it is quiet enough so that it does not disturb others. It is light weight, folds so that it easily fits into a book bag or brief case or even a large purse. Light enough to carry but powerful enough to get the job done. And I'm amazed at how long the batteries last. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Assortment of one dozen (12) Oriental Feng Shui Hand Fan-EMBROIDERY FAN

Pretty Good
The fans I received were very pretty, but I was a little disappointed in the quality. Some of the black plastic parts have smears of dried glue on them, and most of the fans have loose threads from the embroidered pattern. From a distance, I don't think anyone would notice, but up close, the fans look a little poorly made. I also feel that the picture is a little misleading for this item. Every single fan I received was black and not nearly as elaborate as the ones in the photo. Still, they are a good buy and make a nice decorating device.

Pretty good
Everything everyone else said is true, I got 3 different patterns and 3 different colors, with replicas of the same colored patterns. I like them and only going to use them for decoration, so little faults with them no one is going to see. None even came close to looking like the ones in the photo, and they all had black backgrounds.

Oriental Feng Shui Hand Fans Review
Okay, when i ordered these i did not expect much as i got 12 fans for what i consider a fair price, getting fans and Asian things is very hard in my country, so i also did not know what to REALLY expect (a contradiction, i know) but when they finally arrived, i was actually surprised they are really good! i wish it was woodwork, instead its plastic, but it doesn't matter if you're just gonna use them for display, im not sure what color you will get them in but i got 12 very strong neon colored ones green, pink, purple and blue, they feel well enough built to last you a long time, but you get 12 so no need to worry really, overall these were pretty good for the price and i recommend them to anyone who want some hand fans, for display or for those hot summer days.

Mini Aqua Water Mist Travel Fan

Not bad!
This little thing is powerful and very easy to carry around, it's so much more convenient than the gigantic squirt bottles with fans on them you can get at walmart or whatever. The only problem was, because they have to make it so compact, it can only hold a very small amount of water at a time. The squirting mechanism is very good at spraying a very fine but perfect mist so it doesn't waste all your water in two squirts, but you still find yourself refilling a lot. Still worth it over the alternative in my opinion.

1st one a dud, replacement works as advertised
Just as posted by someone else earlier, the first fan I received didn't put out any air current at all, and by "any" I mean NONE. It would not have blown out a match directly in front of it, and yes, the battery was inserted correctly. (Directions say that makes a difference although I don't see why -- I don't think it'd run if you put the battery in wrong, and even if it did, if the blades rotate, it should put out some air.) Exchanged for a new one, which works fine. Not a huge breeze (none expected for anything that runs off one AA battery), but fine for a handheld, light fan. I'm sending to my daughter who is in a hot climate overseas with no access to electricity, so a small fan and small battery is good. The water reservoir is small also, but it puts our a nice fine mist.

Great little fan
We ordered a couple of these for staff to use during summer programs in a very hot room. I like that they are small & compact enough (the fan blades fold down flat) to keep in a pocket. People said that they were actually refreshing.

Easy to clean
This fan has a grill that's easy to remove, making cleaning a snap. It provides just the right amount of white noise for sleeping. My only complaint is that the front grill had a few spots where the white laminate was rubbed off and the underlying wire was actually a little rusted. Wasn't a big enough deal to me/worth my time to contact the vendor/try to exchange it.

7 Nozzle Fan Mister for 36" Fan Outdoor cooling

Fantastic Item - buy and be happy!
I am super impressed with this product and quick delivery! I bought it early Thursday morning and I got it in the mail Saturday afternoon. Also USPS tracking was super easy and accurate.

I was a little worried that the water pressure coming from my house wasn't strong enough for 7 nozzles. I've never had any water pressure problems before, but I thought maybe 7 nozzles was too many and I might just get little useless streams and drizzles and I'd be out $30. But let me tell you, the nozzle spray is AWESOME! Each jet mists the water completely, just as if it were coming from a can of spray paint or hairspray.

I couldn't have made this product any better or any cheaper if I'd have made it myself.

P.S. I never write product reviews even when I'm happy with a product, so please consider this a special endorsement from a very happy customer.

Chillin with the peeps
This mister was easy to install. It works, however, at a distance up to about 20 feet you can feel water droplets. It is not to the point of actually getting wet but more moisture than you might want to feel. This is during relatively mild weather so perhaps when it is hotter it won't be as much of an issue. It certainly makes the area DRAMATICALLY cooler and between the fan and the mist, mosquitoes are nowhere to be found. Not perfect, but a decent, inexpensive tweak for a fan!

More mist for your money
The 7 nozzle fan misting unit is a great buy! It comes completely assembled except for the misting nozzles.

The instructions that come with it are rather skimpy but you don't really need more information. The main bit is to flush the line before installing the misting nozzles, and the rest is simple enough to figure out.

We've found that it's better to not turn the fan on the highest setting for the best cooling. More fan power means the micro droplets of water stick together and you get wet if you are sitting too close.

The cooling is wonderful, our cats even appreciate it and don't mind that they are getting a bit wet.

Soleus Air Oscillating Tower Fan, 42 Inches, FC1-42R-03

Disappointed with the quality of the fan
I bought one of these fans two weeks ago. It seems to be built cheaply. The lid that covers the controls doesn't work smoothly and will probably give trouble down the road. There is something loose in the top of the fan, not sure what it is since I can't see it. The instructions could probably be a bit better, they should identify the screws better and which ones to be used in certain areas of the assembly. The main problem I have with the fan is the loud screeching noise it has begun to make that will wake anyone up. It is a little weaker than the Windmere fan it replaced. Noise wise, it is slightly more noisy than the Black and Decker Tower fan I have (the B&D tower fan is a few years old and works fantastic - too bad they don't make fans anymore). The Soleus Tower fan is totally not usable and now I have to go through the trouble of trying to get either a replacement or my money back. I would not recommend this tower fan due to the bad experience, poor quality and...

I received this on Oct 6, 2012 and took it to work on the 8th. It worked for about 5-6 hours then just stopped working altogether! Horrible product! They say you get what you pay for. From now on, I am sticking the "real" handy cooler air conditioner!

Quiet Fan
For the price, this is a great fan. The fan is quiet and the oscillation is smooth - no jerky movements or ratcheting noise as it oscillates.

I have only had this product for about 3 weeks but so far it has been a great fan. I use it in my large kitchen and it is perfect because it is slim and doesn't take up alot of room. I rely on window air conditioners and have a 5000btu in my living room and none in my kitchen. Both rooms are big rooms so this fan actually pulls the cool air from the living room into the kitchen for a comfortable atmosphere. It was well worth buying.

It's nice enough for the price
Though I wish the slats looked more like wood than plastic, but it's still an attractive fan. It's also good size - big enough to fan during the hot flashes, small enough to comfortably fit in the purse. It also seems made well enough to hold up for a few years.

Sparkly and Functional
I gave this fan five stars because it is exactly what one think it would be; it is a lightweight, pretty fan that fits easily in a purse and opens and closes fairly smoothly with a little help (it's a sensu fan, not the abanico type that you can snap open and shut).

The gold flecks are more like gold streaks and swirls; much prettier and goldier than the picture.

I quite like this fan.

Tastefully glamorous
I wanted something a bit elegant to use onstage but that doesn't call attention to itself. This fan is pretty, smallish, and easy to carry in a sleeve or sash. The reflective gold threads are on the front only, so I can even customize the bling level. Another reviewer dismissed this as junky because, she said, the ribs are plastic not wood. Actually, they are stained bamboo, as they appear in the enlarged photo.

Air King 99539 24" Quiet, Oscillating Wall Mount Fan

Perfect QUIET Garage Fan
Earlier I purchased the Air King 24 inch 1/3hp oscillating fan available with Prime shipping and promptly returned it because it was way too loud and powerful than you'd want in a two car garage. More, it vibrated heavily even with an exceptionally solid mounting frame and it just didn't seem refined.

The Air King 24 inch 1/4hp Oscillating QUIET model is an entirely different animal. They advertise a noise reducing wall bracket, but it's much more than that. The bracket IS re-designed, but so is the clamp that holds the fan motor to the bracket, the oscillating assembly, the blades, and the motor itself turns at a greatly reduced RPM allowing for smooth and quiet operation at all speeds. Assembly with this design is much easier.

To be clear, this is an industrial grade fan built to last decades. The motor is permanently lubricated (the model I returned came with a packet of grease I never understood what it was for), external surfaces and controls are either...

This replaced an old and frozen fan on my catalina 25. It is the same size and works well. It is in place in the space with the v-berth and is helpful to move air into this space. It is an easy replacement. Only critique is that the neck does not hold its position as I would like, but tighten the nut and it does hold.

I bought this because 2 other 12 volt ocilating fans I've had did not ocilate. This one seems to reliably ocilate but even though it spins the blade it does not seem to move the air. jUNK DON'T BUY

Polar Aire Turbo Fan 8 In. 3 Speed

Great as a fan but AWFUL smell!
I'm an average, common sense, don't expect the world from a product sort of user. I'm only writing this review to let people know of the only thing I found wrong with this item...the smell it puts off. I bought this fan for my infants room for white noise. The fan itself is great for cooling an average room and being used as a white noise maker for sleep.

I have been using this fan for many days now and as of last night I cannot use it anymore. The smell that the motor (or some other part) puts off is noxious. If used in a closed bedroom all you smell upon walking in is this horrible smell. I'm worried that this smell is not good for my infant to be breathing in. I even tried setting the fan up in a window to blow out all day just to see if a factory chemical needed to be "burned" off since it had never been used. This did not help either. I resorted to leaving my infant's bedroom door open at night so her room would air out while the fan was running...

Quiet fan helps you stay asleep!
This fan is simple, quiet and inexpensive; it will help you remain asleep at night! I suggest it for anyone.

Great replacement fan
I purchased two of these fans as replacements in two delivery trucks that I own. The drivers seem to like them. They are quiet and push a good volume of air. The price was reasonable and the quality seems good.

Perfect Replacement Fan
The fan in our Fleetwood 42P died. Factory replacement was $75 and counting. This fan was identical to the OEM one and matched the holes and wire colors exactly. Installation was a breeze and operates as advertised.

Had to disassemble to install
Fan guard had to be removed in order to access the third screw hole. Once it was installed, it works well.

GE Cafe CDWT980VSS Fully Integrated Dishwasher - Stainless Steel

Love Love Love!
I adore this dishwasher! Is it weird to love an appliance so much? I bought this along with the Cafe range and microwave. It's beautiful, sleek and modern and looks great in my kitchen. The controls are on the top of the door and are very easy to understand. One of the greatest things about this dishwasher is I can fill it up with an entire container of detergent! It gives a little warning light on the control panel when the detergent starts getting low. Super convenient!

This is also the quietest dishwasher I've ever seen (heard? not heard?). Sometimes I'll forget if I started it or not and have to actually put my ear against the counter to hear if it's running. Even then, it may take a little bit to figure it out. This was a huge benefit as I live in a loft with the living room/kitchen/dining room all open.

MAJOR DESIGN FLAW
I purchased the GE CAFE dishwasher in March of 2010 and within two years the keypad stopped working completely. When a GE technician was out for repair they told me this model has a design flaw. It was designed to be installed with a 1" gap between it and the countertop so that it could release the heat so it wouldn't short out the keypad since the keypad sits at the top of the door. First of all, that was never explained when purchasing the appliance (and i did have it professionally installed), and secondly how would you raise an existing countertop by 1"? I strongly advise you stay away from this model since even if you get it repaired the problem is only going to repeat itself....over and over again. Unfortunately I'm out $1400 plus another $200 for the repair charges. Also, this dishwasher doesn't do anything spectacular, my old dishwasher that cost $300 did the same job cleaning my dishes.

Doesn't Clean Anything
We have had nothing but problems with this dishwasher. We have tried everything from Citric Acid to vinegar. Lots of different detergents, jet dry, you name it we've tried it. I'm at the point of just trying to sell it and getting the top of the line Maytag with steam cleaning that seems to have good reviews. There is no doubt in my mind that all this energy star compliance junk has caused manufactures to make junk products.

If anyone has any recommendations I'm listening. They even sent us new parts that spin, but they worked for two weeks then died. We have average water hardness, so I don't know what the problem it. White vinegar sometimes works, but still this thing even when I run the hot water before turning it one, does NOTHING TO CLEAN.

All the dishes have stains, glasses are not near clean, and have a disgusting residue. Like a bunch of fools we purchased the 10 year warranty, but I just want to get rid of this piece of junk. We have the GE Cafe...

Good product and good service, too!
It has been excessively hot here in Colorado and I do not have central air. It does eventually cool off late in the evening, so I usually get by with opening up my windows in the evening and turning on fans; but; the trick is to be home at the right time and remembering to close up the house in the morning. The Eco Breeze seemed to be the answer. After placing my order, I received a phone call saying that imrovements were being made to the vents in the back and did I want to wait a week for the new and improved model. My answer was "yes" and it arrived in about a week. I immediatly installed the fan on the north side (shady) of my house only to discover that the side "wings" were slightly too short for my window. I emailed the company and asked if I could purchase an additional piece to make it a snug fit. I received an email the very next day saying that the piece would be sent to me free via priority mail. That was the response that I was hoping (but not expecting) to get...

Better with redesign
The issues with the louvers recirculating air was the only reason I gave the old version of this product 3 stars, as it appears that has been fixed it gets a 5 star review.

It does exactly what it says, kicks on automatically and cools off the house as soon as it is cool enough outside. It is an amazing product, my unit is on its second summer right now and works great. I highly recommend it.

This is a GREAT product!
We couldn't be happier with our Eco Breeze purchase. Now that the Arizona summer is fading, we use our Eco Breeze daily. We spend the majority of our time in our family room. Instead of running the A/C which is trying to cool the entire house, we run the Eco Breeze and only expend energy in the room we spend our time. We've seen a huge reduction in our electric bills. We don't cringe anymore when we open our bill! Being able to control the temperature is great - we don't wake up to a cold room like we would if the windows were open all night. Instead, the room temperature is just right. This was a great purchase and we plan on buying a couple more for the rest of the house. Well worth every penny!!

4 Inch High Velocity Desk Fan Gray

Great Little Fan
This is a great little fan to have sitting on your desk if you just need to freshen the air a little bit. It is easy to adjust the angle so you don't have to worry about blowing papers away. It is single-speed, but it puts out a pretty nice breeze. The only problem I have run into is the little rubber feet on the bottom sometimes slide around the bottom of the frame. However, they are very easy to slide back, and don't really affect the function of the fan. All in all, this a great addition to my workspace.

Good Price, Good Power, but Sharp Quality Has Gone Downhill
Our Sharp Carousel microwave finally died after 18 years of faithful service. Even the light bulb lasted 18 years. It was heavy and reliable; an awesome appliance....Naturally, I planned to replace it with another Carousel. The reviews were not spectacular. Poorly designed touch-pad, plastic latch mechanism, etc. Unfortunately, other manufacturers seemed to be as bad or worse. I needed a microwave and couldn't find anything better, so I ordered a Sharp R-530E (R-530 EKT according to the label). That's the very large, 1200 watt oven in gleaming black with a 16 inch turntable. Now that I've used it for a couple of weeks, I'm ready to offer my appraisal.

The Good:

Good price. Hard to believe how inexpensive these are.
Awesome size. This bad boy can accept your largest dishware and has a substantial glass turntable.
Good power. A large cup of water will be piping-hot in 2 minutes. Re-heating a large casserole dish of leftovers is quick and...

Faulty Door by Design & Runs Very Hot
I'm looking at buying the 4th one of these in 5 years. Why the same model every time? The space was custom built for it & so far haven't been able to find another that fits as well. First one had to be repaired after a month as the door refused to open, ultimately that one burned out after cooking microwave popcorn for the lowest amount of time listed on the package. (Everything cooks in lower range of recipe recommended times or less - have never dared to try any higher time amounts.) 2nd one came & door would not open at all - bravo Amazon - they replaced it quickly. 3rd one has worked for 18 months - door is starting to fail - it will still open if you pull up on the handle while pushing the button, but it's only a matter of time...

works great
We had a Sharp convection microwave combo prior to this one and loved it. Didn't use the convection part that often but the Sharp was always dependable and works well. This new one is no disappointment. I like the defrost program - it works well compared to previous microwaves we have had. With anything - you learn to use it based on your preferences but the Sharp brand has been dependable and the power and 2.2 cu is great.
I would not hesitate to recommend this microwave to someone.

Japanese Silk Handheld Fan, Pink with White Flowers HF182

Fantastic fan
I get hot very easily. So I needed something to fan myself with other than using a piece of paper. I have had my fan over a year now and literally use it every day! I wish there was a sleeve or case to store it in, other than the cardboard box it came in. I'm ordering another one because mine is starting to tear on the very edges, but still looks great and is functional. The reason why mine is wearing out is a result of my own mistake. I forgot my fan outside during a very humid day for 8+ hours and it did warp the bamboo a bit. I do believe my fan would be in pretty good shape if I had treated it better. Like I said I'm ordering another one today (maybe more). I love this fan and have gotten a lot of compliments on it as well. I definitely recommend it. My fan was a little bit lighter in shade than the picture, but mine did have the butterfly cutouts in the bamboo.

As another reviewer posted, I bought this fan specifically for hot flashes. This is the second one I purchased, because I would be VERY SAD if I misplaced my only fan and was without it! It is with me everywhere I work or relax.
If you look at the zoomed in photo, you may notice that the inner bamboo parts are carved. Mine doesn't look exactly like the zoomed in piture. The fabric on mine is a bit lighter in color, and the fabric looks sheer. You can't see that in the picture. The carving in the bamboo on mine doesn't have the little butterfly, but mine has more carving. Really, this just seems so much more detailed than I noticed in the description. The bamboo is all very smooth and the fan is a joy to hold. Two things are missing in my opinion. I would have liked a case or cover because I plan to carry this in my purse. I will make a cover so the fan doesn't get discolored or worn in travel. Also, I remember fans from "yesteryear" had a way to attach a wrist ribbon and this...

I love this Japanese Silk Handheld Fan, Pink with White Flowers HF182 It is beautiful. It is well made. It is compact when closed so it slips nicely into my purse. Most importantly, it effectively moves air and for me, this is an indispensable tool! Hot flashes, Lady? This fan was made for you!

I love this fan so much I bought several in other patterns and colors. They are all lovely and move air beautifully when my hot flashes surge. I always keep one within reach.

O2-Cool 1053 10" Battery / AC Powered In/Out Fan

Considerable Disaster Relief
Having suffered terribly in the tropical heat in the aftermath of a couple of hurricanes last year, where it took from one to three weeks before power was restored, when I found this fan on sale at a local store, I purchased it and what seemed to be a large supply of D cells. I really was surprised, however, when I actually ended up needing to use it for just that purpose. We were without power for a full week (and that was lucky!) and was grateful to have the fan (some others in the region will be without for as much as three weeks! and the weather is warming back up a little... they will be wishing they'd bought one of these). It's simply amazing the amount of pure joy and relief one gets when the power comes back on!

It seems to be a fairly good quality fan, though not particularly robust (in some ways it seems a little delicate, such as the plastic switch and battery compartment cover--but nothing has failed in any way). It provides a fairly full breeze, though...

An excellent value
This fan performs well and is reasonably quiet when on its low speed. An advantage not mentioned in the product description is that it has a 12VDC power input jack. Add a 12V cable (available from Radio Shack) and you can run it from an 12V cigarette lighter jack instead of the built-in D batteries. This makes it ideal for RVers. It also has both a folding handle and a hook, so you can hang it up if you like.

The next step up from this fan is a Fan-Tastic "Endless Breeze" 14" box fan. The Endless Breeze moves more air and does it even more quietly, but it costs five times as much as this fan--in the neighborhood of $75. For $13-$17, the O2Cool 10" box fan is an exceptional value. I own three.

GREAT air flow !!!!
This fan is great! I use it on the desktop, operated with batteries.It puts out a good airflow.It's great because you can fold it up and down, and angle it.It comes with an adapter(plug in), which is another great option.
I know the anytime we have a summer "blackout" this battery operated fan will do the trick just fine!

Bionaire BT440RC-U 42-Inch 3-Speed Tower Fan with Remote Control

Great tower fan.
With the weather getting hotter here in NYC, it was time to buy a good tower fan. Electricity here is expensive, so we try to use fans to their fullest extent.

This unit is built much more sturdily than the other tower fans we've used - Sunbeam and Honeywell. I don't have any concerns this unit will fall apart on me. And the volume of air it pushes out is pretty good compared to these other fans. On medium setting you can feel it 18 feet away.

And it's pretty quiet to boot!

If you need the remote DON'T BUY THIS FAN
Had the fan 3 weeks when the remote stopped working. Bought new batteries..still dead. Called the manufacturer who said they didn't have any more remotes and that the remote was not part of the warranty so...too bad. Customer service was terrible and if they are not going to warranty the remote they should not advertise it as a remote controlled fan on the box !! Will never buy another Bionaire product.

Off button is fine
I just purchased this fan and I love it. Its very quiet and has a great range when oscillating. Covers the entire room. The remote control is nice too. I have read several people say they didnt like that you had to cycle through the speeds to turn it off but on mine if you just hold the button down for a second or two it will turn off no problem - sometimes it helps to actually read the directions :) No need to cycle all the way through the speeds.

It did take me a few minutes to line up the screws but nothing too bad.

Great powerful High Velocity FAN
I was amazed at how quick this fan showed up at my door after ordering. Next Day via UPS. This fan is very sleek and the fan motor is powerful and quieter than an older one I got this to replace. I have two Golden Retrievers and they love to stay cool, this fan does the trick. Glad to see that Amazon is carrying some high quality fans unlike the discount stores.

After a few days the fan started making a rattle noise they sent me a replacement fan 4 days after I got it that fan started making a loud rattle noise now so they all Probably do that don't buy from this company or this product EVER o and I had to pay for UPS to come pick up the fan they did pay for the shipping label for the replacement fan

Be careful
Great fan. My wife bumped into it and knocked it over, which cased a plastic blade to break. I did contact the seller and they worked a satisfactory deal for a replacement. Bottom line is the location I was using it, made it susceptible to being bumped. Not good idea for this fan.

Holmes HTF3210A-STU 32" Tower Fan

Great Fan, Except for Sound
I love this fan, it moves a surprising amount of air(I almost never need to turn it up above a 1)and while I have several fans around the house (no AC) this one out-performs them all. I use this fan daily in the summer(this will be the second summer) and it still works like new.

This fan is a 5-star fan in cooling ability and craftsmanship. However it looses a star for having a really annoying beep anytime you push one of the buttons. Who needs such a loud beep? You get used to it but it can still wake up someone sleeping nearby.

To fit in the box the base comes in two pieces and you just snap them together. I found it fairly simple but it's worth noting that there is a tiny bit of assembly required.

Didn't Last Very Long
The fan worked flawlessly for about 3 months. Then it began to have an issue; the fan would take about five minutes before the blades actually spun at the appropriate speed. The length of time it required to warm up increased, sometimes taking an over an hour. I decided to take it apart. After removing some hair, dust, and dirt (not very much) I reassembled the fan and it seemed to work like new. Now, 5 months later, it started acting up again and after a week it stopped spinning altogether. Attempting cleaning again, but to no avail. DEAD.

TLDR: Worked well for a few months, then had to disassemble and clean. Worked OK for a few more months, now its DEAD. Less than 1 year of use.

Perfect
Just what we wanted and it is perfect for our needs.
Not sure Why others say the BEEP when shutting off is a problem.

Well designed and powerful.
My wife and I bought this to dry out a closet in a rental property. The washing machine had a slow leak behind the closet wall, and the carpet soaked it all up.

My favorite parts of this unit: the well designed chassis, the GFCI outlet, the long cord, and the powerful motor. Simple things, like the plastic cleat for wrapping up the cord, and a good handle make it easy to move around and store. And make no mistake, it moves *lots* of air. Per my Kill-A-Watt power meter, it draws around 3 amps on high.

2900cfm!
I use this for work at a dealership and the conditions are harsh 85F+! It's nice to stay cool and the unit is very quite. perfect for the top of a tool box!

I've had other travel fans and they've all stopped working but this one is still going strong. I like that it has a battery option to take overseas.

Saved My Sleep
I do not sleep well when I'm too hot. At home this isn't a problem. A box fan blowing in my direction is normally enough to let me sleep soundly. If that doesn't work, I can turn on the A/C. However, when I'm traveling, I'm often out of luck. If I'm staying with friends or family, I'm at their mercy. And I've spent a surprising number of sleepless nights at hotels that were "in the process of installing A/C."

These issues are no longer my problem. I got the O2 Cool 5" Portable Battery Operated Fan, and it seems to be the solution to my dilemma. The fan is compact and lightweight, so I can pack it in my luggage without issue. Weighing in at just 12.6 oz, including the AC adapter, box and manual, I'm not concerned about it putting my suitcase over the weight limit.

And it works well. The fan is powerful for its size and very quiet. There are two power settings. Neither will blow you away, but I find the high power setting to be quite adequate to cool me...

Avoid Electrolux at all costs
Only buy this product if you plan on purchasing the extended warranty. My cooktop has been inoperative for over a month. It is only 3 years old (and I did not purchase the extended warrant). After $585 in parts and labor, it is still not working. Electrolux's next step was a $650 dollar part (the induction housing assembly). I told them no thanks, because they could not tell me it would fix the problem. Their technical support was horrible. The service tech had me listen in each time he called (because he knew how bad they were). Each time he called he was given different instructions on how to rectify the solution. Each time was a different part (first a control board ($220), then a relay board ($192.65). He was then told to check voltage on two outer pins (turned out fine), which supposedly eliminated a part (the now suspect housing assembly). Then he was told to check the voltage of the two inner pins (no voltage, now indicating the $650 part). Electrolux will not allow...

Do NOT buy any Electrolux Cooktops or Ranges
I must confess that I am an idiot. About 5 years ago, we updated our kitchen and installed an Electrolux Range with an induction hybrid cooktop. Board after board failed, but at least it was covered by warranty. Finally it seemed to work ok so we wrote it off to some bad boards in the initial manufacturing of the product.

Fast forward, we sold the house, moved and needed up update the kitchen in the "new" house. This time we needed only a cooktop, so being the idiot that I am, I bought the product being reviewed because we did like the Electrolux range when it worked.

This time the unit waited to go out of warranty (1 year and 5 months) before the main interface board failed. To fix it would cost $500 for the board plus labor. No thanks, I pulled out the unit and chucked it and this time ordered a GE full induction cooktop from Amazon. I'll report on that unit in the future.

Meanwhile, it is obvious that Electrolux builds cooking products with...

Max Storm Floor & Carpet Drying Fan Blower Air Mover by Summit Air 2800 CFM Airflow!

Incredible machine!
Wow, how did I ever live without this thing? It's as quiet or quieter than a box fan on medium, but moves what seems like 5x as much air, even on low. I have run it for days at a time, and it's going strong. Most recently I used it to ventilate a large room where I was spraying lacquer for days & days, and it kept the smell out of the rest of the house entirely. (Note that it is not rated as "explosion proof", so this sort of use is definitely not recommended.) Build quality seems very high, and I expect it to last for many years.

This Blower Delivers
After a septic back-up, we needed to dry out our carpet fast. This arrived over-night (thanks, Amazon Prime!) and was put right to work. It dried out the carpet and padding in a couple of hours, and had the entire 10x10 area dry in less than a day. One of those products that just works.

Only used for 1 night so far, but it is as advertised
I ordered this because I was sick and tired of my garage floor being wet all winter long. I have been ineffectively squeegeeing my floor daily. Usually 2-3 times a day, as our cars came and went. It was for naught. Our vehicles would catch more snow as we were driving around, and it would inevitably melt all over the garage.

So I happened to notice one day, that a restaurant was using a fan just like this to keep their entryway dry. I immediately went home and checked Craigslist, and found nothing. Then I saw this one on Amazon.

At the price, it seems to be the best value when you look at how much air it moves compared for its price. Many fans that move 2k+ CFPM cost $200 or more. I bought this for $140 and I feel it is a good value.

I'll update this thread only if I run into some sort of problem with it. If I never update this review, then assume it is working as intended.

Holmes HT17MBK-U Trend Mini Tower Fan, Black

Works fine for me
I know on Amazon and other sites these Holmes mini tower fans get consistently low ratings. I may have been lucky and received a good unit. I bought mine at Target in Sept. 2011. to help dry my late mother's family Bible that got submerged in the Hurricane Lee flood. I set the fan to oscillate on low speed so the air blew across the wet pages, and ran it for about four weeks pretty much 24/7. I stopped it for an overnight maybe once a week, but it never felt hot or made any undue noise. I was impressed with the quiet operation on low. Our TV is in the next room with an open door in between, and you couldn't hear it at all.

After getting the Bible dry, I put the fan away till this spring, when it began to get warm. I usually can't stand having a fan running while I'm trying to sleep, but I tried this one and so far, with it running on low and not oscillating, it's plenty quiet. I haven't been bothered with the clicking or vibration noises many other reviews mention...

Windchiller High Pressure Personal Mister with High Velocity Fan

Better than the more expensive Misty Mate
I had a Misty Mate unit for years and this year the hose randomly started to burst every time I would use it. I knew I would have to replace it and began checking Amazon for pricing. I decided to not get another one of the more expensive Misty Mates with the not very durable hosing and ran into this little Windchiller fan.

I decided to go with the Windchiller fan and I am very pleased with it. Unlike the little cheap mister fans from Walmart, this one pumps up and will keep spraying mist as long as you hold down the mist button. I quickly realized the importance of the fan as well. Compared to the fan-less Misty Mate units, this one is much much cooler.

One worry I had with this was the "child proof fan". Normally you will find fans labeled "child proof" do not blow very well but this unit did great! Instead of the traditional foam blades, this unit uses a thin bendable plastic that has good velocity and is also child friendly.

Great for Vacations
All I can say is WOW, took my windchiller to Disney and it sure did come in handy while we were standing in line for rides and also when we would just relax by the pool at the resort. I had so many people ask me about this I almost wanted to hide it. Can't wait to take it to the beach.

Best product of it's kind on the market
Bought this for my grandchildren to use in MO on vacation this summer. They went to a concert when it was 106 degrees! They spent all day there and went with two of these and two others of a different brand. When they got back, I asked which one worked best. Hands down, they said they were fighting over this one! Great product, just a advertised. Worth every penny in that kind of heat.

Hunter 90435 16-Inch Portable Stand Fan, Gunmetal

Powerful is an understatement.
We had settled for those cheap $15 fans to provide what we thought was the most air circulation we're ever going to get out of fans. Wrong. This fan cools the room at about as much power as 8 cheap fans, so it's well worth the cost. Its sturdy and metallic design makes it less susceptible to damage and dust accumulation. And yes, the blades are metallic as well.

This fan moves a lot of air
This fan works and looks great! In the high setting it is a little loud, but that is to be expected. I do wish it was taller in height.

A Fantastic Solid Fan!
I purchased this fan in brushed nickel about a year ago, and I can now safely say this is the best fan I have ever purchased. It is very durable with all-metal construction. It is very quiet for a fan that pushes this much air. It's not silent, but is much quieter than the other tower and plastic bladed pedestal fans I have tried over the years.

I run this fan every night in my bedroom for both air circulation and for background "white noise" to help me get to and stay asleep in a very full house of 3 teenagers, a 7-year old, a great dane and two cats! Being so quiet, it doesn't always block all the noise I wish it could!

The only complaint I have about it is that the vertical tilt is somewhat limited. I was able to get the right angle to aim the air at me me while in a fairly tall bed at night, but it won't go much higher unless I "prop" the front of the base up with a book or something.
