Great as a fan but AWFUL smell!
I'm an average, common sense, don't expect the world from a product sort of user. I'm only writing this review to let people know of the only thing I found wrong with this item...the smell it puts off. I bought this fan for my infants room for white noise. The fan itself is great for cooling an average room and being used as a white noise maker for sleep.
I have been using this fan for many days now and as of last night I cannot use it anymore. The smell that the motor (or some other part) puts off is noxious. If used in a closed bedroom all you smell upon walking in is this horrible smell. I'm worried that this smell is not good for my infant to be breathing in. I even tried setting the fan up in a window to blow out all day just to see if a factory chemical needed to be "burned" off since it had never been used. This did not help either. I resorted to leaving my infant's bedroom door open at night so her room would air out while the fan was running...
Quiet fan helps you stay asleep!
This fan is simple, quiet and inexpensive; it will help you remain asleep at night! I suggest it for anyone.
