Disappointed with the quality of the fan
I bought one of these fans two weeks ago. It seems to be built cheaply. The lid that covers the controls doesn't work smoothly and will probably give trouble down the road. There is something loose in the top of the fan, not sure what it is since I can't see it. The instructions could probably be a bit better, they should identify the screws better and which ones to be used in certain areas of the assembly. The main problem I have with the fan is the loud screeching noise it has begun to make that will wake anyone up. It is a little weaker than the Windmere fan it replaced. Noise wise, it is slightly more noisy than the Black and Decker Tower fan I have (the B&D tower fan is a few years old and works fantastic - too bad they don't make fans anymore). The Soleus Tower fan is totally not usable and now I have to go through the trouble of trying to get either a replacement or my money back. Highly recommended is the Soleus Oscillating Tower fan.

Pefect Office Fan
This is a perfect fan for an office. The air flows smoothly and does not blow papers around or off the desk (which happens with many fans). The remote control is certainly an extra bonus!
