RadonAway RP145 Radon Mitigation Fan

Great Radon Fan
I just installed this fan on my house. Good price, solid construction, very quiet and to top it off it's made in the USA. I highly recommend this fan.

Only lasted 4 years
This fan was quiet and did the job, but only lasted 4 years. After taking it down and replacing it with the same fan model, I found there was some debris in the inside of the fan and the bearing was shot. This was installed under a birch tree that drops a lot of seeds and leaves and some must have entered the fan and damaged the bearing. I installed a mesh cap on the top of the exhaust pipe that should prevent larger debris from entering the cap, but I didn't want to interfere with air flow. I didn't install a condensate bypass yet, but might do that if I have issues with this fan. I thought initially that was the issue, but after finding debris in the fan I can only assume it failed from that instead of moisture.

good fan with a minimum of noise.
I installed this fans in my basement. I have a 4 inch duct going under the floor to
keep the air moving, so the soil does not get moldy.
