Poor quality & very loud
I was deeply disappointed when I received this fan today. Being a Brookstone product, I had much higher standards for this item and was very surprised when I opened it and turned the fan on for the first time. This fan is way too loud for an office setting and is very poorly manufactured with cheap, noisy parts. The only nice thing about this fan is the sleek design - however, that cannot outweigh the noise.
Don't waste your money and look for another quieter fan.
Poor Quality Manufactoring
I have used this fan for approximately 6 months. It was noisier than I would have expected and eventually developed a plastic squeaking noise.
Worse, the fan stopped working.
I would buy a more reputable brand. When I looked up this fan on the Internet, it's a repackaged Chinese version that doesn't have any support.
Too loud to be useful
The size is perfect and the amount of air pushed by the unit is what I expected. The loud noise of the motor on any speed other the lowest and therefore least useful setting is unbearable. Would not recommend as the noise is distracting. Ended up with a different unit by Honeywell that was half the price, quieter, and did a better job cooling.
